ABOUT US

The Undergraduate English Association was created not only for English students, but also those who are studying Journalism, Pre-Law and in UGA’s School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA). Many students shy away from these majors because they do not feel confident that they will get a job after graduation. It is our mission to be the gateway through which students can receive vital career information pertaining to these fields of study. We pride ourselves on being able to hold events where undergraduates get to meet professionals within their fields after graduating from UGA with one of the above majors. Since UEA is still in its infancy stage, it is just beginning to be recognized and advertised. We want to increase the number of members within the organization and also expand our reach to students in other UGA schools who may be struggling with the same concerns post-graduation.
