My name is Alyssa Gill and I’m a junior in the Honors program here at UGA. I am pursuing dual degrees in Entertainment and Media Studies from the Grady College of Journalism and English in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. Creative writing and literature have been pillars of my life since I was very young, so I felt it important to include English in my college journey. Though I aspire to a career in television production, my English degree will indicate to employers that I am an effective communicator, an attentive listener, and a thoughtful reader. I want our members to know that these qualities are valued in most fields - the possibilities are endless! I am thrilled to be a part of the UEA and a part of this exceptional group of women on the executive board. My goal as Communications and Events Co-Chair is to help students find potential careers that suit their talents but also align with their passions for English. I can usually be found at Jittery Joe’s downtown, and, if not there, in front of a piano somewhere.
